EXPLORATION - What has gone before... Shepard photographed this approximately five feet long boulder.
Shepard examining a large boulder.
Ignition of the Lunar Module's ascent stage "causes a brief force of wind which scatters gold-colored foil, covering the LM, and disturbs the U.S. flag". "Wind" is a description - it is the effect from the force of the ascent engine ignition and exhaust having an impact on the LM descent stage and flag.
