STAR TREK
Gene Roddenberry created Star Trek back in 1966 struggling with the program "censors" of the time. What you may not know about Gene is he was a true humanitarian with visions of a peaceful planet pushing out among the stars. He was not in favor of introducing aggressive and violent elements in Star Trek. His wife Majel Barret Roddenberry was a crew member in the original series and went on to carry his legacy. Majel became the voice of many Star Trek computers and played Lwaxama Troi for Star Trek Next Generation...both will be missed.
The Enterprise model used in other clips of the original series was donated to the Smithsonian and housed in the Arts and Industries building on the Washington, D.C. Mall
